New Culture Strategy being launched early 2026
Earlier this year we asked our residents, creatives, schools, organisations, businesses, and diverse communities about culture in Hounslow to inform a new Culture Strategy. Thank you to everyone who participated in workshops, filled out postcards and surveys and answered our questions. We have now been able to pull together key themes and start looking at the next ten years, shaping a vision for the future of arts and culture in our borough.
Your responses have highlighted differences of opinion, but also lots of shared views. Many of you told us that the biggest barrier to getting involved is simply not knowing what’s on or where to get the information you’re looking for.
You also spoke about wanting to see more cultural activities locally, and the importance of having events, artists and public art that truly reflect the diversity of our borough. Working in partnership with those who deliver culture in our borough will be key to delivering on these expectations.
The Strategy will go to Cabinet in Dec 2025, so watch this space for the launch of the strategy in early 2026.
